Mapping channels?

I thought I read about the ability to change/remap channels. I remapped channel 54 to channel 43 and it appears to only affect its placement in the EPG.

Currently my OTA ABC channel tunes the wrong minor channel so all I get is the weather radar. How can I change Sage so that it tunes the correct channel? Can this be done? The channel is in the EPG, but does not tune correctly like the others.

thanks,

I believe there's currently a bug with Sage tuning subs backwards.

Yes,
this is definitely a problem for me as well. My ABC (Raleigh-Durham region) HD subchannel is mapped to DT-2, which is the weather loop.

I tried remapping, but as you discovered, this really only serves to rename the channel in the EPG; the subchannel with the HD content is still listed as having weather in the EPG.

I also tried adding the channel manually, but could never get any EPG info, even forcing EPG updates and with the correct station identifier.

FWIW, here in R-D, I have 2/4 networks with three subchannels each correctly mapped, and the other two (ABC and CBS) with incorrect maps.

Very frustrating right now--I do feel your pain, but thusfar, I don't know how to correct it.

cheers,
Dave

I guess here in Austin I have a mix.

CBS and NBC are all on sub 1. The EPG and tuning is fine.

ABC is also on sub 1. The EPG is correct, but tunning is broken (I get sub 2)

PBS is on sub1,2,3,4. They are all in the EPG as separate channels and all tune fine.

I guess what I would expect is something more along the lines of how the PBS sub channels are handled. They appear in the EPG as four descrete channels and have EPG listing for all four.

Same problem here in the Dayton, OH area. I was able to add a channel to Sage (NBC) which works, even though it receives only subchannel 2 (subchannel 1 would be the HD version which would be nicer). I tried doing the exact same thing with CBS but did not get this to work. However, the AverMedia software is able to tune into that channel. The PBS stations are messed up here to. Sage shows me five of them. But the EPG does not match with what they broadcast and it is not reversed as I read in one of the other threads. Instead, the EPG for subchannel 1 is what is broadcasted on subchannel 2, EPG for 3 matches subchannel 2 and so forth.
