PVR-250 S-Vid in problem
Hi there,
I am trying to connect a freeview STB into one of my two PVR-250's. I currently have one of the 250's setup to use another freeview box (using the composite in). I am trying to connect the new freeview box using a SCART to S-Vid cable. The problem is that the incoming signal is black & white and fuzzy. I have connected this cable directly to my TV with this cable and it works fine. I have also connected the box to my other 250 and I get the same B&W, fuzzy picture. Are the 250's inputs wired differently to other S-Vid inputs? What could be going on? As I said, the new freeview box works fine going direct to my TV's I/P, but not into either of the PVR-250's S-Vid I/P. Any ideas? |

I had a similar problem a while back with a PVR-350.
In my case it turned out to be , that the scart - S-video lead, actually is a scart to composite, with an s-video connector. I selected composite_2 from the list of available sources on the capture card, and this corrected it. Cheers Mark |

I got hacked off with it, then got out the wire strippers!!
I basically removed the S-Vid plug and soldered a phono onto the end. The lead now works great just going into the composit I/P like my other freeview box. |

Like Parkimart stated, choose another source (with me the composite_2 also worked fine).
