starchoice receiver

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 with the stagetv installed.
What do I need for the stagetv to change chanel by itself as for now as I go up and down with the chanels in stagetv it plays the same chanel that is set on my starchoice receiver. Is it a hardware need? If yes what do I need to acheive this?

Help please!!!

You will need some type of IR Blaster. USB-UIRT is probably to most common around here. Sage basically learns the # commands from your settop box remotes and replays them when you change the channels via Sage. The Sage store has them for sale. http://www.usbuirt.com if you want info on the unit.
