AverMedia A180 "Dual Tuner Driver" supports 3 cards?
I know it's a "Dual Tuner" driver, but I still want to ask, does it support only 2 cards, or 2+ cards?
I'm trying to run ATI HDTV Wonder along side two A180's, but the HDTV Wonder tuner keeps crapping out on me (stops recording and stops tuning, just a black screen) after a while. I'd love to have 3 A180's. This article may be misleading, but sounds like they have four (4) A180's in a single PC: http://news.ecoustics.com/bbs/messag...81/147821.html Last edited by jsidlosky; 10-07-2005 at 12:29 AM. |

I wouldn't mind having the option of running more than 2, but someone else who posted here couldn't get it working. He contacted Avermedia who told him no. -JK |

You might have better luck with two A180s and one Fusion lite. I think the Fusion has a better tuner anyway, but that way each driver would be only driving what it's designed for, and the only issue would be Sage dealing with three cards.

I actually tried to run 3 A180 cards and they did not work on the last beta.
I asked AverMedia support if their driver would support more than 2 and they replied that it would not. I have since switched to 3 DTA151 (or Cats Eye) cards and they are working as advertised. Randy |
