Serial Cable to Mediacom cablebox Problems

I am having some problems with my Serial cable controling my cable box.

-What is happening is when I change a channel through SageTV past channel 200 it will cut of the last digit and lets use 200 as an example. So it will go to channel 20 on my cable box but thinks it is on channel 200 on Sage. So then I have the change the channel on my cable box to channel 200 and it will work then.

-Also there is a huge response time delay from when I select the channel to when it changes on the screen.

-Another problem I have is everything 30mins on the dot it will reset the channel or refresh. So I am on channel 200 watching TV and It will go back to channel 20 every 30mins. Then I have to change the channel on the Cablebox back to channel 200.

Does this make sense the problems I am having? If it doesn't make sense please as me to rephrase it.

I'm not sure what to say about the first one, but I have a couple other comments:

This might just be the normal delay that occurs when the new channel has to start being encoded, saved to disk, read from disk, then decoded & shown. I believe a few people have made properties modifications to try to shorten that delay, so perhaps they will comment on their changes?

This one is because SageTV is set to always tune the channel, even if it is going to tune to the same channel already being watched/recorded -- that is done so that if the first channel change didn't work, maybe the ones after that will & you won't miss all of your recordings. Of course, you are having just the opposite problem.

In v2, you can set the mmc/always_tune_channel property to false while SageTV or the service isn't running. In v3, there is an option in Detailed Setup -> Customize that changes the smae property from within the UI.

I thought maybe there was an issue with 3-digit channels, but you said it was only for channels above 200... so something like 150 works?

Has anyone else run into the first issue, posted above?

If no one has ideas, try sending your configuration info to tech support to see what suggestions they might have.
