Pink Sections on HD recordings

Anyone know what the pink sections in he timebar are ? sometimes they are at begining, sometimes a little piece in the middle.
cant rewind past them, even to get to the begining of a show.
Also I have a Las Vegas from last night, I watched off and on on the client while it was still recording to do some testing.
now when I select it, each time it asks me if I want to delete it, the pointer is at the begining of the timebar, but it will not move, wont play, skip forward etc.

Still havent figured out whats going on with these. I know that I cant rewind these files properly and ff doesnt works only once in a while.
I got to the end of one, but it is now impossible to watch it again, it will not reset to the begining of the show, reset the watched status, everything I could think of, timeline pointer is at the end of the show and will not move at all.

I had a similar problem on a recording that I interupted with a reboot during the record process. I can't remember if there was anything pink in the time bar, but I found that if I hit RW about 4-5 times in rapid succession, then it would go to the beginning of the show. I also could not hit FF or RW during the show because it would skip to either the beginning or end of the show and I had to start over.

Must be some sort of corruption, probably not a coincidence that most of the shows that are really messed up like this are ones where I was watching with the client while they were being recorded...that must have caused a glitch of somekind.

The time bar colors are described on p. 109 of the current v3 manual, in chapter 4. Pink/red are areas that were not recorded, so if you have a lot of those, then you are getting bad recordings because it keeps stopping & restarting the recording process. (Unless it is for live TV, where it can happen during channel flipping.)

well, I WAS switching back and forth between watching the recording that was currently occuring and watching various other recorded SD and HD shows.
I dont remember seeing anything wrong with the show as I was watching it, but that means that whatever I was doing on the client was hosing up the recording process on the server.
I dont remmember EVER seeing this with my PVR250 so it must be a glitch with the A180.
