Version 3 fast foward and skip/replay options

Our family uses TiVo now, and it works great and all, but I'm looking to replace it with a DIY PVR box. SageTV, overall, seems great (the 2.2 trial), but I'm wondering if the version 3 coming up will have a fast forward more like Tivo/DVD/VCR Players? I tried the FF/RW "multispeed_skip_import_1_2" file but can't get it to work smoothly with any of the video decoders on my system. Also, can the replay/skip time jumps be reprogrammed easily (on 3.0, don't see it in 2.2)? I seem to be getting 2 minutes forward or back from either of them.

In v2, you can set those times via property settings; in v3, you can set them in Detailed Setup -> Customize -> Fast Forward & Rewind Times.
