PC Died during 1st SageTV Server execution/config - now can't install again

My server that runs SageTV lost it's boot HD this am. I just spent hours putting in the new one, installing everything.

I had re-installed SageTV [stuck with 2.0.18 as the box was previously stable and I want to minimize # of changes]. On first exection, I typed in the install key, was about to configure the TV-tuner when I accidentally pulled the power cord out of the PC.

Now it won't run, even if i fully uninstall, delete the Frey file folder, then re-install. I click SageTV, and it's as if I've done nothing.

Everything else works fine. I've installed CQC, JRMC, which are working fine.

Baffling.

Any clues?

No clues, But if this is XP this may be a good time to use it's system restore abilities! Should probably be able to go back in time to just before installing SageTV.

well, i downloaded the latest Java updates and now i can move forward. can't believe that uninstalling/reinstalling didn't work.

good thought on the system restore point, now i just need to remember to set those.

I suspected java after reading your first post, that it was corrupted during installation. The thing is, java is used for other stuffs beside sage, so sagetv didn't uninstall even if you uninstall sagetv. And it didn't install java again since it probably detected the corrupted java, but thinking its good. But being a java app, there are a lot of problems related to Java.
