not all source reconized in sagetv on sony
I have a sony vaio with giga pocket, but i would like to use sage tv instead. I downloaded the trial version to see if everything worked. THe only video sourde it picks up is the tuner, which is named SOMA tv tuner. The front and back inputs are not reconized. anything i can do to solve this?

I don't think so. That tuner card is not on the Sage compatible list. Look on the Support site for supported cards.

well shoot. What is a good quality/cheap card? i will only need s-video and audio inputs

Hauppauge PVR150 for a single input. Accepts Svid, Composite or Coax and is a hardware encoder. You can get it from Sage's store w/ remote for $84 or as a bundle w/ remote and a SageTV license for $144. You can generally find them at local B&M stores like Circuit City or BestBuy for ~ $100 for just the card and remote.
