reload woes
I recently reloaded my system.
Windows 2000 AMD xp 1800 hauppauge pvr 150 Nvidia geforce FX5200 Sagetv (was fresh loading for latest beta, but loaded again when that didn't work with latest stable version) I cannot get a picture at all I have tried every setting, the strange thing is that the recordings prior to the reload still work. I am thinking this is some kind of weird capture problem but am at a complete loss. I installed everything as it was before (drivers from CD no updates) then I tried updating to no avail. I have reinstalled the hauppauge card a thousand times with no luck. I have changed my quality settings, made burnt offerings, and was considering sacrificing a goat. This isn't the first time this happened, the first time I loaded sage I had the same problem and then it magically went away as some people have reported. I didn't do anything special then so I am not sure what I can do to fix it. So in short help!! |

I think it's very dependent on what order some things are reinstalled... I had the same issue.
I'm trying to remember how I did it... but I think I reinstalled the drivers from the hauppauge cd #1 because the ones off their site didn't work. At all for me. Once I knew those were working I installed sage (after uninstalling it and uninstalling any java installations too). then everything was happy again. |

reinstall
Ok, I will try a reinstall again when I get home. Do people have this sort of problem in XP. Just want to pin down if it is in OS issue.

fixed in a rather odd way
I actually removed the card rebooted then shut down and reinserted the card into a different slot. Then reloaded the drivers and voila up and working again.
