Does it take a long time to load an HD channel?

For me it takes about 30 seconds for it to tune an HD channel if I click it in the guide. It also takes that long to load a recorded HD show. Is this normal? Shows recorded on the PVR150 load instantly.

It takes a little longer here too to switch to an HD channel compared to analog channels; however, this is in the range of a few seconds only. I would think this is due to the higher data volume that is needed for HD and it might need to wait for a keyframe within the mpeg stream but I do not really know.

Just a slightly wild guess, but try a different audio codec.

I have found that if I switch the input type to Cable instead of Antenna (leaving the EPG settings at OTA) the channels that I can receive with the A180 tune quicker. I still have all the problems you guys are talking about. Can't add the missing channels successfully, can't get it to add 5.1 etc.. just wanted to jump in and say try switching the input type to see if it helps.

It fixed itself miraculously... no idea what happened. Now it's maybe 4-5 seconds. Of course my CPU usage is back up to 80% even though I'm using the same codecs as before. I'll figure it out, though.
