Video freeze on FF past end of show (2.2.8/PVR150)

I tried searching for this problem but came up short. maybe I was just searching for the wrong thing.

Setup: PVR150 / NVid Decoder A&V/ GeForce 6600 / Sage 2.2.8
Drivers: Recent as of a couple months

Situation:

On every show I have recorded this is a reproduceable problem. If I happen to fast forward past the end of the show, the video locks/freezes. Even if I rewind back the audio starts back but not the video. On other shows if I stop playback near the end, the index is reset to the beginning on the next viewing. Shows where I've fast forwarded beyond the end do not reset. It seems like the show index is stuck a couple of seconds beyond its actual length.

Workaround:

Rewind all the way to the beginning, pause and then restart the media player. This workaround lets me watch the show but I (or my wife) have to perform it for any repeat viewing (wife and I watch shows at different times).
