Dolby 5.1 with SageTV

I've tried different decoder and renderer options and I can't seem to get SageTV to output in 5.1 for Ripped DVDs. They play fine with 5.1 sound in Cyberlink with PDVD6 but I can't seem to duplicate the settings in SageTV. My audio is output via S/PDIF and I have an Nvidia Soundstorm enabled Mobo. When I play through Cyberlink, it's bypassing the NVMixer but with SageTV, the sound is being passed through the NVidia mixer. Any ideas?

I use the Sonic Decoder and had to enable AC3 and DTS passthru via SPDIF using Radflight Filter Manager.

Maybe it's something you will have to do as well.

It's not a SageTV specific problem.

There could be up to four different places you need to enable/change this. In the NVMixer make sure to choose SPDIF as input. In Cyberlink make sure to enable SPDIF. And in Sage TV You may want to change the audio renderer to Default WaveOut. And to double check and make sure go into Windows Media Player-Tools-Options-DVD-Advanced. This will show you your default audio decoder. Make sure SPDIF is enabled there.

I'm trying to enable SPDIF in WMP 10 and it hangs when I select the box for "SPDIF (disabled)". If I can get a DVD to play in 5.1 in WMP then I'll troubleshoot Sage again. Any ideas?

I got it to work in WMP using DirectSound as the renderer. Then you get the option to enable SPDIF. Still no luck in SageTV though. I tried all the possible renderer settings with none of them producing 5.1 sound. Any other ideas to help me troubleshoot?
