list an mpeg file as available for viewing
How do I make SageTV recognize or list an mpeg file as available for viewing? What I do is record shows on one machine, copy them to another for editing and then return them to the original machine for viewing. When I overwrite the original file (original name) everything works fine but when I create a new file Sage will not ‘see’ that file or add it to the video directory. The video directory is listed under setup and I have tried exiting Sagetv and re-starting it but so far no joy. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.
