Remapping digital channels
Has anybody had sucess remapping digital channels in sage? I have a channel that has a .1, .2 and .3. Sage's EPG has got .1 and .3 confused. However, when I try to remap .1 to .3 nothing changes. Has anybody had any sucess remapping to a specific digital subchannel?

Yeah, i still haven't figured out what the intended use that that is. I would be nice to remap channels to friendly channel numbers. But when I do it, it looks like tried to tune into a different channel.

I was able to add a OTA digital channel that was missing from the list of available channels when adding my Avermedia A180, but the EPG says "No Data". I can now tune and watch the missing channel, but I get no program infomation. I submitted this as a bug.

Jim, Im having the same problem. I live in Toronto which according to Sage has no OTA HD channels - in actuality we get almost all the buffalo channels along with about 4 additional Canadian channels. Since the Buffalo lineup is wrong for us I figured the easiest way was to use the Rogers Digital lineup(cable) and remap the channels. This didnt work though - instead I get a single channel and thats it. One other thing to note is that if you remap channels using 3.0.Beta 11 you will find that the channel order gets completely muffed up (I submitted a bug, its due to be fixed next release). Also if you have multiple lineups using multiple cards (like say Cable tv and OTA HDTV) you will find that channel selection order is also messed. (also tbf). Im going to try to use the Buffalo lineup and then manually add the Canadian channels. By the way: in order to get the station ID goto www.zap2it.com and go into the tv listings for your area (or which ever area you are looking for). Display the listings and then highlight the channel name in question. You will see a URL something like: http://tvlistings2.zap2it.com/listin...er_id=national Note the "station_num=#####" - the # represent the station ID that sage is probably using. Alternately you can use datadirect (also from zap2it) which includes all the station ids for your lineup in each xml download. You would need to parse the xml for the data though. Good Luck Adam |

In the LiveTV Guide, you can sort channels by channel number or name now. - Andy

If you have already added a channel incorrectly, then remove it & wait until the next EPG update removes the unused channel... or else it will still be in the database & the same old incorrect id will get seen & used. (If you aren't asked for the ID when entering a channel, then it is already in the database somewhere.)
After entering the correct station ID for some channel, then you will have to wait for the EPG info to get updated -- it isn't instantaneous. At first, the guide will have nothing on the channel's line, hten it will have "No Data", then it will eventually get filled in. - Andy
