OTA Antenna Suggestions
I'm looking at getting an antenna so I can get local HD stations. I'll need one that can do both UHF and VHF. The main thing is that I need one that will be pretty powerful. I'm an avg of 60 miles from the broadcast locations, some are broadcast from CT but most from NYC. I've basically decided that I'll likely need a roof top antenna but cannot decide one.
The one that caught my eye was the Channel Master 3671. Going by the specs it is the most powerful one i could find in my search. I don't know if it would be overkill or not, but this thing is 14' long so if it is overkill I'd much rather have something a tad smaller! Anyone going similar distances or using this antenna? Any input would be great. I'd much rather have an indoor model, but given my distance I don't think that's going to happen. Also I have seen the models that can go up on my DTV Dish, but given my distance that would probably help me as much as an indoor antenna. |

I know nothing about the CM-3671
But the 120" Boom Length, 37 element antenna from RadioShack for $79.99 Works great for me. btw: Before I went with a Roof-top, I tried 2 different indoor model antennas and was never ever happy with the results http://www.radioshack.com/category.a...2%5F000&Page=1 |

I've found www.antennaweb.org to be a very useful site. It will allow you to enter your address and give you a selection of antenna you can use. It help me pick a good one for me.
