WinTV-PVR-250 revision identification?
I have been using SageTV for years and have a single Hauppauge PVR-250 card in my HTPC. I don't remember the revision at the time, but it was a "16" and not a "15". I would have to pull up some old posts to remember what that meant, but I was pretty happy at the time to have the correct one as some people indicated.
I want to hit eBay again and purchase another. Is there a particular revision I should look for, or stay away from? Does anyone have a list of PVR-250 revisions, good or bad, and a way to indentify them? Thanks, Robert |

You can go to shs site to identify the PVR model. The primary difference is that type 15 cards have a heatsink and the type 16 cards do not. At one time you could not mix a type 15 with a type 16 in the same computer but that problem has been solved with the current drivers.

And the rev 15 cards get toasty warm ... I'd hate to have multiple v15s and a Presshott CPU
