getting audio from mpg file

I record my shows in DVD Standard Play. The resulting file plays fine in Windows media Player and in ULEADs Video Editor. It also works fine in ULEADs DVD Work Station (DVDWS) version 1, but has no audio in DVDWS version 2.

ULEADs Video Editor shows the following info:

Video:

Format: 24 Bits, [720x480]
Compression: MPEG-2 (NTSC DVD), Field B, variable bit rate
comp ratio: 0%
Frame rate: 29.970

Audio:

Format: MPEG Audio Layer 2 files
Attribute: 48000 Hz, 16 bit, stereo

I have a feeling, it has something to do with the Audio Layer 2 files, but I don't know what to do about it.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
