Again, Nvidia tray icon missing...
I know this has been beat to death, but I just wondered if anyone has figured out why the Nvidia PureVideo icon doesn't appear in the system tray on some systems. I have tried setting Sage's decoder to default, Deccheck shows Nvidia as preferred, playing an MPEG2 file in WMP shows under "properties" Nvidia decoder, I even uninstalled TheaterTek, as someone mentioned that it hides the tray icon. Is there another way to gain access to the settings for Nvidia? This is on my server, XP pro SP2. A laptop with XP Home SP2 running Sage client shows the icon in the tray!
Thanks for any suggestions. Rob |

That did it! I found the tree for the Nvidia decoder, changed the value to 0 on the showicon and the icon now shows up in the tray. Thanks! It's the little things that drive you nuts.

Careful, I believe Theatertek changes the value back to 0 when you start it up.

I uninstalled TT, using PowerDVD that came with my new DVD-DL writer
