Windows Screen Saver Taking over!!!

I have Sage TV 3.0.7 and I am also running xlobby on my computer. When I watch sage tv my darn windows screen saver keeps activating after a couple minutes. What gives?? It doesn't seem to do this when I am watching a movie in xlobby. any suggestions..

Also on a somewhat related note. I have a Hitachi 57 rear hooked up to my htpc via dvi through an ati 9600 pro. Sometimes when I turn the tv off and then back on later, the tv will not kick over to digital input, it stays on the default input. I have to litterally shut the computer down and restart or unplug the dvi cable to get the tv to switch over. any suggestions. I just re-setup my computer a couple days ago, and it wasn't doing this before.

Thanks
Mike

I also have a 9600. Since upgrading my ATI drivers 3-4 days ago I have had similar problems. I had to turn off the Windows screen saver and if I turn off my Sammy RPTV and back on later, I get no video signal. I have found that pressing the sleep button on the keyboard and any key to wake it a minute or so later gets my video signal to return. Now I just sleep the PC before turning the TV off. I'll probably go back to the previous ATI driver since that seems to be the problem.

exactly... once you get your htpc working the way you want... don't install updates... don't install newer drivers... just let it be.

I don't know if it's DVI related, but I have a ATI9600XT on my sage box and as long as I'm watching a video, recording or playing MP3's, windows screen saver stays off. I'm using catylyst 4.7 I think. I'm hooked up via DVI to VGA dongle, thru a transcoder to my TV via component inputs.

I WANT the windows screen saver (over the UGLY SAGE logo thing), so I set the screeen saver (sage to OFF) in windows at 2 minutes. If I pause tv, then it comes on.

The beauty of this is that to turn SAGE back on all I do is press the power button on my remote twice and up pos the SAGE Main menu.

This works for me as I use a fish tank screen saver, that looks awesome on my 53" HDready TV.

I'm not sure why my system reacts opposite of yours, could it be a setting in sage or windows?
