RMVB Files?
I tried searching the forums but I couldn't find anything on it. Does anyone know if sagetv can play .rmvb files? If so, how can I set it up to work?
Thanks |

You can use a custom STV that allows you to use an external media player like WMP, ZoomPlayer, ShowTime etc... Then when Sage opens a file that is not native to Sage it will put Sage to sleep (in taskbar) and open the file in the player you specify. Plus you have to add that extension to the properties file for Sage to even see it.
A little extra work, but not too hard, especially with all the help here on the forum. Good luck

Good info maniac. I've been searching the forums on how to set up an external media player (thinking Zoom or powerDVD) for DVD playback. You have any good threads offhand? -- as I search, if I find any I'll link them here.

I use germsage's STV found in the customized download area.
It is the closest to the original Sage STV but adds the ability to play with external players and a few other stuff. Greggerm STV But there are other STVs that let you do it as well. Let us know if you need any help setting one up.

Thank you for your suggestions. It's a little more work than I have time to try right now but I'll definitely try in the future. For now I think I'll just convert the files to divX (it's only 2 files). Cheers...
