STV Switcher

Hey all.

As I was switching between different STVs, I thought it would be handy to have a little batch file to make it quick and easy. Here it is in case anybody is interested.

You know, you can load any STV from inside Sage, Detailed Setup -> Advanced.

This batch should be removed from the forum. I looked through it and it deletes the SageTV folder and recreates it.

It would work properly if you had created complete backups of the SageTV folder to the locations specified in the batch file. I don't even understand the point of this batch since as Stanger mentioned you can change your STV from within Sage.

Come to think of it. Even if you did have backups in those folders. You would be constantly restoring a backed up wiz.bin everytime and thus losing potentially valuable data.

I removed the attachment. STV switching is handled quite correctly in the base v3 STV and most v2 STVs. Please don't upload utilities that are going to delete anyone's files, especially if no instructions are included. And, for anyone downloading files, remember: the forum attachments are not checked for content after they are posted, so as with all other files from online sources, please try to double-check what they do before running any utilities.
