SaveTV with non english Windows OS

Last weekend i start a post about a problem that we finally discovered was caused by non english version of Windows XP. Since then people from Frey admit that there were a problem with that and they will correct the problem and we are waiting for a solution till then. SO my question is for Frey people: Do you have an update about this problem or do we have to switch to another product.

By the way the problem i refer to was an error message when starting either SageTV or SageRecorder NO HARDWARE MPEG II DETECTED.

Thanks!

Wasn't the temporary solution to switch the language to english until SageTV is updated to be multilingual? According to your other post, that is what you did. My understanding was you were up and running with this temporary fix. Or are you just trying spur Jeff on a little bit?

I would think a little patience is in order. There's an awful lot of different languages out there besides and I'm sure Jeff is trying to account for them all.

This has already been done. It's part of a larger release we're going to do, so I can't give you anything yet on it....but soon we will, with some of other cool stuff to boot.

Not trying to bother anybody about that but i think after a week why do i have to ask about an update of the problem from Frey ? I don't want a solution in a week just an update.

And by the way am using french verion of Windows XP and when i have to pay for a piece of software it's my right to ask it to work with my OS. I will pay for the software, i am the customer so that's legitimate!!

It sounds to me like Jeff has finished the programming to account for the multilingual issue. He is just trying to finish some other features to be released at the same time.

I agree your customer rights are perfectly valid. I'm looking forward to what the new features Jeff is hinting at that will be included in the new release.

If the program finally works on my Dutch system,
can i get another trial period because that is expired now.
In these 10 days the program did not find my card so it never worked...

We will be resetting the trial period so that you can test the new version of SageRecorder that corrects the PAL audio and multilingual issues. I will make a post when this version is available and then we will update it on our website.
