Is there a way to program multipul buttons for one command?
my topic doesn't really explain it well. what i am looking dto do is set up my hauppauge remote for say, if i press the blue and red button it retarts the computer, i want ti to be somethign more than just one button so it doesn't get accidently reset all the time. any suggestions?/?
basically i am lookign for a way to restart the computer from the remote (preferrably by pressing more than one button, but i dont know if the IR will limit this) |

The SageTV application has nothing to do with what you are trying to accomplish. You are trying to figure out a way to use your remote & the forum that best fits that is hardware, since it is a hardware device. For lack of a better fit, such as a 'remote' forum, all remotes lead to hardware.
There have been past discussions about shutting down the PC via the Hauppauge remote via a single button press. If you want to make it 2 presses, you could create some fancy ini code that shifts irremote.ini into a new section when the first button is pressed... it could be done, but like stanger89 said, Girder might be the best bet. - Andy
