Cable Box Issues
Hi, I'm having two issues with sagetv and my cablebox.
The box is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200 from cable vison. The first is a nasty 2-3 second delay between what happens in sage and what happens on screen. The second is that the cable box has an intergrated TV guide that I'm not sure how to turn off. Specs: PVR-500 MCE Cablevision Digital Cable (zip: 08879) USBUIRT Blaster Sage TV 2.2 Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200 Thanks all.

You alway have 2 sec delay then do encoder buffer which take video and encode in to MPEG which time so there for you not get REALtime feed, Most cable box you can't turn them off do have any menu option button on your remote? I belive on your's just above the mute button.

I checked all of the onscreen menus.
Didn't see anything. I read about disabling "live preview" in the registry. Will that reduce the delay?
