Conexant 23880 and Sage

I have an HP Media Center PC which I need to use Sage with instead of the Microsoft setup. Sage notices the card as Conexant 23880, but I can never get a channel set up. I always get Async Reader Error - Failure Loading File.

I have set Sage up with a 250, but this HP isn't going as smoothly. Can anyone help?
