I've just watched you guys discussing this, and now Im curious, how much of a difference does Trimension make to image quality - I'd not heard of it before, so Im wondering whether or not to see if I can track down a copy of Windvd for it.

Cheers

Mark

It's a huge* difference, as to whether it's an improvement or not is debateable, some love it, some hate it.

*by huge, I mean HD vs SD huge, not ffdshow vs not "huge".

You'll need to change those DWORDs in a new key called SageTV (vs ProgDVB). It will not work for 30fps content (ie Sage recordings).

You can try creating a new recording profile with IVTC enabled, and it may work with Sage recordings.
hey stanger89, these settings don't exist in my registry. do you have any idea why?

The key (ie folder) won't exist unless you've run SageTV with the Intervideo decoders.

The DWORDs probably won't exist unless you create them.

UseDNM should be right, I have no idea about pal. But DXVA and DNM are mutually exclusive, so I wouldn't think DXVAPal would do anything. But I don't really know.

Way too slow, you need at least 3GHz (3000+) to do DNM.
