Radeon 9000 Pro vs. Radeon 9200?

I'm looking at either of the above two cards for my HTPC. Ideally, I'd like to be able to to DVI output to the TV, but have heard so many nightmares doing this that I'm not counting on it. I'll be using this box exclusively for Sage, playing DVDs/MP3s, and possibly HDTV in the future. There will probably be little to no gaming - ok, my wife might play solitaire.

Sapphire has a version of the 9200 available with DVI-out (although ATI doesn't make one of their own?!?!). I would get either card with 128MB. Is there a reason to choose one over the other? Anyone have any better luck for HTPC-related activities using the 9000 or 9200?

I'm assuming that at some point the 9200 will replace the 9000, but I'm basing that off ATI's naming convention.

Thanks!

Jason

These cards are identical for all intents and purposes...

the newer 9000 cards function the same as the 9200's. I bought a 9200 Sapphire card and am using the DVI to connect to a JVC 48" RPTV (@856x480). It is working very well, now that I have tweaked the picture with Powerstrip to eliminate overscan, etc.

The only quirk with this setup seems to be a timing issue. When I switch to the Digital-In on the TV (the DVI connection), the picture sometimes appears quite unstable (flickers). I sometimes need to change to another input and back to Digital-In again so that the picture syncs correctly with no flicker.

Let me know how it works out for you. I have also tried several other resolutions, with varying degrees of success. 1280x720 seems to work fairly well...
