Problem with Hauppauge 45-button remote?
My htpc has a PVR-500 and a PVR-150 installed. I've recently decided to move away from the mouse, and try and get the remote to control the whole HTPC.
In sage 2.x I didn't have any luck (replaced the irremote.ini, etc) So I thought I'd try sage 3.x--still no luck ![]() Could it be that sage is getting confused which tuner has the remote? Is sage getting the remote 'signal' but can figure out the mapping? (If I use the 'commands' under the detailed setup, I don't see anything when I push any of the buttons.) Any ideas where I can start? Many thanks! rwc |

What happens when you start Hauppauge's ir.exe (the app to control the remote)?
There is a known issue where the remote doesn't work sometimes when a remote-capable tuner PCI card (your 150, for example) is mixed with an MCE version that has no remote (your 500, for example). I know of no solution for when that happens, but you could check the last few posts in this thread. If ir.exe is successully recognizing the remote, then for v3 you need to check the option to add support for that remote when you install & then select the remote in Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Configure Remote. - Andy
