Directx 9c or not?

New install of 2.2.8. Yeah, I see the sticky but even after reading the whole thread it it is still unclear to me if the problem was resolved and what fixed it.

As far as it goes for me, I still have to use the 9.0b version of quartz.dll. If I use the one that comes with 9.0c, I have the problems talked about in that thread.

It was not fixed with 3.0.5. I'm not sure about 3.0.7 though.

Is it any better with FSE?

For those of you that have the stuttering problem, does Full Screen Exclusive mode help at all in the Sage 3 beta?

Not for me. VMR9 still stutters in FSE in version 3.0.7. I'm starting to lose confidence that they will ever get this fixed.

Thanks for the info. Installed 9b. No real need to upgrade I guess.
