help!!!
whenever i do a scan for channels i see a picture and hear audio but whenever i go to livetv and try to watch a channel, i hear and see nothing, can someone help.

are you using a software encoder by chance?

not SURE, but I'd put money on this being a software encoder card... You'll have a hard time finding PVR software that will work with it. Sage is moving towards supporting software encoders, but it's somewhat broken right now in the latest beta.

im using the sagetv 3.0 beta now and went through the configuration and everything was fine but now i get error(-5,0x80070004): there was a problem setting up software video compression, any help?

Think you'll probably have to wait for the next beta to see if they can get the software encoding to work correctly. Very very few have gotten it to work as yet I think.

ill probably buy a hardware encoding card which one would be the best, cheapest card?

Hauppauge PVR150 is prolly one of the best bang for buck cards you'll find.
