Hauppauge 45 button remote problem
I am using the Hauppauge 45 button remote to control SageTV and Clients. I am using the latest irremote software and Sage 2.2.8...
Everything works perfectly except for the TV button. I can not seem to map that button to anything. I have Music mapped to my music jukebox and pictures mapped match to well my picture library, videos mapped to imported videos and guide to well...Guide. But TV will not map to anything. I have tried through the SageTV command link and also manually through the irremote.ini file and neither seem to have any effect. When trying to Link it in Sage, it just stays at the screen asking for a remote button or keyboard input. Like SageTV just wants to ignore that the TV button exists.

Let me take a wild guess... the latest ir software is version 2.45.22350.0? Did you recently install an updated driver, or did something else change? (Did it work previously?)
Someone else was telling me that the TV button doesn't work, among other things. What happens if you use a slightly older verson of the Hauppauge ir software? - Andy

hmm. I will try the software that came on the cd and see if that fixes it.

No Luck...
I couldn't find my disc but did download the original cd from shs's site and still no luck with TV button...  It doesn't seem to be a SageTV issue since I can't get it to do anything in ShowTime either...

I just found out that Hauppauge renamed the 45-button remote's TV button to TVNEW in the ini file. Add a TVNEW line in your [SageTV] section in irremote.ini and it should all work again.
