Problem Recording DirecTV Pay-Per-View
Hello,
I am having a problem recording direcTV pay-per-view movies. I am able to record all regular channels (and am using a serial cable from the com port to the low speed data port). I have tried twice to record a pay-per-view movie and have taken the following steps: 1) Used the DirecTV guide and purchased the desired movie. 2) Added the appropriate channel in the 'Channel Setup'. 3) Gone to the EPG and modified the start and end time to match the movie I'm recording (for instance the current schedule may be from 5-9 and I modify it to be from 4:30-6:45). 4) Checked the SageTV recording schedule to confirm that the start time, end time, and channel are correct. After the movie has finished recording, I have tried to access it but when I do it changes the start time to 5 (which was the original start time of the pay-per-view segment). Only the second half of the movie gets recorded. I am not sure how else to record pay-per-view movies and any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am currently using SageTV beta v1.4.5 and have a PVR-350 card. Thanks |

Since you are using the beta version can you attach the portion of your log file where this occurred?

will_fish,
What you're seeing is correct...albeit a little confusing. You will be able to rewind before the start of the show. The time bar will indicate what the guide showed, but if you modified the start/stop time at all, you'll be able to rewind before the beginning or fastforward past the end. Thanks,
