Aloha,
I really like this stv. Great work

I found a small bug. When I turned "Visible Main Manu Items" to 5 and then scrolled through the main menu, it works, but if I scroll the list sometimes shows "Watch TV" or "Media" or "Weather" twice and drops other items.

love the stv, one small change

Love the design and function, especially the music features fantastic. It would be nice if you could sort the items under the main category in the recordings library. i.e. title a-z/episode number

Thought I'd drop a line and let people know I'm back. If anyone's interested in seeing the most beautiful place on earth - I suggest you check out Bora Bora. It's the closet thing to Shangri-la I've ever witnessed.

I'm geting my new laptop up to speed, and getting the MVP setup in the bedroom for the Mrs., then things should be full-steam ahead on this STV.

I'll be posting updates soon.

As soon as the ability to tell what is first run is added along with the "special extras" of 3.0.7 I will start using this one. This is the best STV IMHO

Alright, I've gone back through the thread and came up with a list of todos for the next version.

iain: those icons should be perfect, thanks! (It'll be an option, don't worry )

Snoopy: Which 'special extras' are you most interested in? I haven't been using the main STV a whole lot, so I haven't gotten used to the new features. If you could specifically list the ones you want, I'll move those up the list. There are WAY too many to just start doing them all.

I'm currently getting used to having a roommate, so my 'work hobby' is fighting for time right now. I think I found some days where I can get a lot done, so I hope to have a new version available in a couple of weeks. Big plans, lots of new features and bug fixes.

Nice STV.. It has absolutly huge potential.

I would love to see COMSKIP integrated like in CAYARS STV where it will process automatically in the background (while sage is sleeping) without having to run any external schedule programs to do it. Also a manual option to start commskip on any given recorded show would be a plus.

Keep up the good work!

Jeff

I thought I would vent a little, and let everyone Know I wanted to get some work done on the STV this week, but my server has suffered an undetermined hardware failure, and I've been working on it nearly every night.

I'm making one last try tomorrow to find a new CPU & motherboard , so that should fix things...hopefully.

I'm thinking about asking Jere if I can package DirMon for that very purpose; would that work? Or would you prefer the normal way? I never really used that way my self. But if people really want that, I can take a look.

I've also use the comskip in Cayars and liked it. Now I am using the just improved comskip built into Malore's latest 3.0.7 stv. I love it. It does whatever it needs to in the background and even autoskips for me with no mistakes to date. It has been absolutely flawless for me! What about having that as the default comskip and allowing the ability to switch over to showanalyser system if one chooses? I love the look of this STV though and will begin using it as soon as the things I have gotten used to like comskip is built in. It's a fantastic design.

No, those icons won't work until I integrate them.

cool... I really love that STV. The list is easier to read. Is it possible to have the recordings list view just the title on a single line as opposed to double line? If so, can the extended title be veiwed as needed?

Exactly. As long as it works in the background, thats fine with me.

One other quick note too. You have a % of how much the show is watched. Can you also add a visual progress bar as well. Sometimes its a little tough to read using a SDTV and that type of visual would help out.

Keep up the good work!
Jeff

Great STV. It works really well with my MVPs. A clean interface, and I like how the timeline gives show information/time at the bottom.

Do you have any recommendations on locking down the UI for 'guest/kid' access?

Your not the only one to request that, so I'll look into it.

I'm working on some ideas that will resolve this issue. But it might be a while, as it is kind of complex. For now, use the standard STV to set the parental controls, then switch back.

I have some big plans for this type of thing, so keep your eyes peeled.
