Firefly and 3.05 Beta
Well, I'm trying to switch back to Sage from SnapStream.. I have my snazzy new remote and I've been trying to follow the threads related to moding the SageTV-FreyTechnologies-1.4.xml file, but I'm not having much luck. I've seen Ruel's web page and tried his suggestions... Changes that I've made to the Global.xml file take effect (such as starting Sage with the Firefly button), but my SageTV profile should cause LiveTV to start when the Firefly button is pressed, but it doesn't...
In fact, while Sage is running, I get the OSD messages "Default: Up" when I select buttons, etc... My XML file has the classnames "sage.d", "sage.ae", "sage.t", "sage.s", and "sage.SpecialWindow".. (The SpecialWindow one is what shows up when I run the AppIdentifier... Any ideas how to fix this? I really like the Firefly remote, and if I can have this level of control over Sage, it will be much better than my old Remote Wonder. Paul |

Well, I uninstalled the Firefly driver with BM Basic and tried installing just the Firefly driver, but it didn't do much when I tried running the "snapstream.exe" file..
So, I reinstalled the BM Basic + Firefly and it's working properly now... Not sure what was wrong, but now it is seeing all my custom mods to the XML file for Sage... Paul |

I'm not completely familiar with the Firefly remote, how does it send commands? Is it basically a keystroke conversion, where the software interprets the IR signal from the remote and translates it to a keystroke?
If this is the case, it should be fairly straight forward. Maybe try posting your .xml file and someone might be able to help you. |
