Strange audio problem
Here's a strange problem that perhaps someone has seen here before. I wasn't pleased with the noise level from the powersupply that came with my DVine htpc case, so two weeks ago I replaced it with a Seasonic. While I had the case removed from my home entertainment center, I added a 2nd hard drive that I plan to move Sage recordings to later. After closing the case and plugging everything back in, Sage works and runs as before except for one huge problem with the audio. When skipping ahead or back, the audio won't immediately play. There's usually a few second delay, many times followed by a loud feedback sounding squeal. I have noticed that this problem doesn't affect shows that were recorded before I did the upgrade or when I watch DVDs through Sage, just shows recorded since. This would make me think it has something to do with the input/encoding process, but I'm not sure why. Although I changed the power supply and added a drive, I didn't change anything with regards to Sage (I havn't moved the recordings directory yet). Anyone have any ideas? The wife is getting unhappy. Thanks for your input!
