Running SageTV as user interface in Windows

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem running SageTV as the user interface (instead of explorer.exe). My current setup is Windows XP Pro SP2 on the HTPC and windows server 2003 on my domain controller. I have set up a security policy on the DC so that explorer.exe does not run, and sageTV runs in it's place. Everything works fine except that it won't start in full screen mode for some reason. In the group policy I have specified on the domain controller, I had to put a link to the SageTV excecuteable, and I was thinking if there was some switch that I could put after the target filename to force it into full screen mode that this would probably fix my problem.

I know there is a setting that says to startup in full screen mode, but I think that is only after explorer loads and since I have it set to disable loading of explorer, it's not working. Any ideas?

Thanks,

TravisT

Use '-startup' (without the tick marks) as a command-line parameter.

add/change 'ui/startup_type=1' (without the tick marks) to your sage.properties or sageclient.properties.

Assuming this works, can you tell us what happens in your situation with the autorestartshell=1 in the registry when sage crashes? does it auto-restart in full-screen?
