Remapped channel not shown in EPG?
I've got two channel lineups. The first is my cable co's lineup, used by my PVR250's. The second is the LA area broadcast lineup, which I'm using for the HDNE network encoder. I want to be able to remap the local channels on the HDNE tuner so that I can essentially decide whether to do HD or not, based on the channel # I use. So, for example, for the HDNE lineup, I mapped 2-> 902, 4 -> 904, etc. (It doesn't matter that there's really not a 904, because with HDNE, I just tricked the tuner into thinking 904 is really 4).
Anyways, when I remap my channels in the HDNE / broadcast lineup, they show up as their remapped numbers, and each has a green dot next to it. But, when I go into the EPG, none of the 90x channels shows up in the listing. Why would Sage ignore these channels when they're mapped and selected properly in the channel settings? |

They weren't listed separately in the LiveTV Guide before the remapping, right? (I'm guessing that is why you were trying to remap them?)
It is possibly because they are actually the exact same networks that you have on your other lineup -- SageTV combines channels when they are the same network but different channel numbers, as mentioned on p. 40 of the v2.2 manual. Does that fit what you are seeing? - Andy

Is there anyway to disable this or control which channel it picks when combining? I'm finding it always picks the wrong one that I'd want it to pick. I'd also like to display both channels in the quide. We have 2 groups of channels on cable: the first is the original location; then the second are copies grouped by theme. I'd like to be able to browse both in the guide. It doesn't look like this is an option as far as I can tell. CJB |

There are no options for it that I know of. I'm also not entirely sure how the decision is made regarding which lineup's channel gets shown -- I think it has to do with with capture device is recognized by Windows first, but don't take my work for it. It could also be related to which source gets configured first, which would be easier to control.

I think that the broadcast lineup also lists the digital channels separately, like CBS-DT, so maybe I can fiddle with remapping those. I'll try that when I get home. Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't catch it in the manual when I was looking. |
