VMR9 performance increase using Nvidia decoder 1.02-150
I have always had performance issues with SageTV's VMR9 using the Nvidia decoders/6600GT/2.6Ghz Hypertheading on. The video was slightly framey, fast panning was also jumpy. Therefore, I was forced to using overlay.
After I upgraded to the brand new nvidia drivers (came out today), out of curiousity, I tried VMR9 again in SageTV and it ran smoothly, if it weren't for the tranparent menus, I would have thought i was in overlay mode. BTW: I noticed a performance increase in VMR9 renderless mode as well playing full res ATSC file playback (.ts files). |

Any idea what the upgrade policy is on this? I purchased the 1.00.67 version a few months ago. A link where you got it would be helpful also.
I'm very interested in this since I've got the same problem with VMR9 being very jumpy especially on news sites with a crawl on the bottom. Last edited by abbott_m; 07-01-2005 at 11:45 PM. |

I don't know about the upgrade policy. You can try upgradin and see if it lets you use your old activation #. I put the download link and trial activation information in my post, I guess it got edited out by a forum moderator.
Anyway, you can read more about the trial version, downloading, etc. at the below thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=555322 |
