Feature request

I know this is in the wrong thread, but I think the customizers might be able to do this, I was wondering if there was a way to get sagetv and replaytv or even tivo moxy to communicate with each other as if they were designed to, being able to set up a replay tv or a tivo in the living room for my parents to use since they seem to not be able to understand the gui for sage

There would be a chance with Tivo since there is already third party software that lets you network Tivos to share recorded programs, so I suppose that theoretically you could make Sage simulate a Tivo so it could talk to your modified Tivo "client".

It would be far easier to make an STV that looked and felt just like Tivo. Now there's an idea

In fact what you really need is just what you are hinting at, a universal standard protocol for client/server PVR applications and appliances. It's a shame there isn't one, but you'd never get all the manufacturers on board.

Nick.
