Feature request
I know this is in the wrong thread, but I think the customizers might be able to do this, I was wondering if there was a way to get sagetv and replaytv or even tivo moxy to communicate with each other as if they were designed to, being able to set up a replay tv or a tivo in the living room for my parents to use since they seem to not be able to understand the gui for sage

There would be a chance with Tivo since there is already third party software that lets you network Tivos to share recorded programs, so I suppose that theoretically you could make Sage simulate a Tivo so it could talk to your modified Tivo "client".
It would be far easier to make an STV that looked and felt just like Tivo. Now there's an idea ![]() In fact what you really need is just what you are hinting at, a universal standard protocol for client/server PVR applications and appliances. It's a shame there isn't one, but you'd never get all the manufacturers on board. Nick.
