Stored AVIs Display on TV
Hi,
Just got my system up and running and have successfully recorded and played back some shows. I finally was able to configure my setup to access other video files on my network. However, when I tried to play some of them (XVID HDTV rips), I can get video on my computer monitor but no video/sound out of my PVR350 to my RCA DLP. Is there a limitation to the resolution that can be passed thru Sage to the card and then out to the TV? |

If you use the PVR-350 output, than you can only play MPEG(2) files...

Thanks.
Sounds like your system hardware is virtually identical to mine. What are the options? Can I output these AVIs to the Svideo from my EPIA motherboard to the TV? |

use the svideo output from your motherboard for all output so you don't have to worry about it. You'll probably find that the sage player for imported xvid/divx doesn't like some of them either. I gave up on it and am creating my own player for external media using girder.

Also I noticed that the Via 1 GHz just in not powerfull enough for certain AVI's (Divx, Xvid, etc.): In some cases playing those files resulted in a 100% cpu usage and caused video stuttering. In the future I want to use it also mail PC, so I am afraid it will use to much resources. Therefor I still use the PVR-350 output and if I want to watch a Divx or Xvid, I just convert it to MPEG2 with a program like WinAvi.
