Anyone else using AverMedia M179???
If so, please post your results. My AverMedia M179 looks terrible when using the live TV of both SageTV and Client.
Please post any detail of recommended solutions, I've got what looks like 'dithering' on most colors of the image. Thanks! -PGPfan |

Is that the card that uses the same Conexant chip as the PVR-250? If not, it's unsupported and if it does then there may be a driver issue because we have not tested that card with SageTV yet.

It uses the Chipset: CX23415 and was made for the XP Media Center. This is available from NewEgg for only $83.00 so it would be a great budget capture card if only the video looked good.
I'll try swapping the pci slots around and see if that will help anything. -PGPfan |

What MPEG2 decoder filters are you using?

![]() Thanks for the reply. The decoders I'm using are the Sonic Cinemaster, and the Elecard/Dscaler. I've switched back and forth between them, tried all the different Dscaler filters and the picture still looks poor. Is this perhaps a piece of hardware that you'd like to borrow and see what you could make out of it? I just moved and so finances are a little tight (starting a new business also) so I'd like to see this work out. Please let me know. -PGPfan |
