No More Videos
I woke up this morning to find that Sagetv is doing something weird. When I go into my imported videos section, and go down the directory trees to the video files themselves, they don't play, nor do they have the option to play, and now all video files have a folder icon next to them that says "2 items" on it. I am not really sure what to do here since removing and readding video folders does not help, nor does reloading video folders

Did something change on your system, especially with the drives? I don't know why it would do this, but this might be one thing to try: exit SageTV, make backup copies of you wiz files, set make_all_mediafiles_local=true in your sage.properties file, and restart SageTV. It may or may not do anything, but the saved wiz.bin should get you back to whre you were if it doesn't work right. (And you've got the latest version installed, right?)

yes I have the latest version, and I don't really know what changing that option would do since, I've been running sage now for almost 9 months with it set to false, and this is the first time this has happened, I have just restarted my networked file server in hopes that maybe it was an error with some file parsing on its end, but time will only tell

restarting file server did nothing, trying your suggestion Opus.
Oh and to answer your other question, the only system changes made were updating the webserver, since there was a new one posted this week, but I don't see where that would affect this, I also added an import for the sage decoder descaler menu, but I tried using other stvs and this is a universal problem with sage, so I don't know if it is just getting to be a good time to do a total system overhaul, since when I started this project the setup I have was going to be temporary for testing purposes, but it ran so good I've left everything as is Last edited by wbarber69; 06-19-2005 at 10:51 AM. |

Good Job Opus4, another problem down the drain, the make all files local thing did the trick, although I'm not sure why, it ca be added to my list of things to tweak next time I overhaul this system
Edit: I say it worked, but it only affected files that were only one subfolder deep in my import directory, I"m removing and readding once again to see if it helps Last edited by wbarber69; 06-19-2005 at 10:55 AM. |

this is very weird behavior indeed, I removed the import folders that were unaffected by the previous fix you suggested, the weird thing is the files that were acting up were not removed, but instead have been fixed
very strange |
