DVD audio problems

Hello,

I recently installed SageTV and was trying to get the DVD player to work properly. Initally when i tried to play a DVD, sound was present at the selection menul, however, when actually viewing the movie the sound went dead. I tried installing AC3 filter, and the reverse happened, there was no sound at the menu selection, but sound worked during the movie playback.

BTW i havent even tried to get TV playback yet, im waiting on the cable men to reroute a cable to my room.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
