Comcast is changing all channel numbers... what now?

Comcast has decided that our community would be best served not by adding tons of HD channels and getting rid of all the stupid shopping channels, but by completely changing all but 3 analog cable channel numbers all around.

This will happen next Satuday. How will Sage react to this? Do I need to change any favorites that specifically use a particular station?

Do I have to add channel numbers back or anything?

Heya,

A few months ago Comcast (in Texas) already shifted the channels around a bit. I use the zap2it.com for my EPG an it was right in sync with the changes. I have no doubt that future changes will be covered as well. I wouldn't worry about it till it happens. Sides if you know its coming, and there are shows you care about, just keep an eye on things when it happens. I am sure you'll get things in sync.

A similar change occurred with Cox in Northern VA not too long ago, but fortunately it was only with a few channels. The EPG should indicate the changes automatically, although you'll have to manually change the favorite setting to reflect the new channel.
