Q: Current PVR-350 driver version?

Hi,

I went on Hauppage's website and grabbed the latest driver update files..
pvr150250350_inf.zip
pvr250_22_23070.exe

I ran hwclear to blow everything out and reinstalled the PVR-350 drivers and get the following info under properties for the Hauppauge WinTV PVR entry in the hardware manager:

driver date: 9/22/2004
driver version: 1.18.21.22266

When I run pvr250_22_23070.exe it mentions PVR-150 drivers so I wonder what is up? I would have expected a driver date of March 2005 and a driver number something like 1.18.21.23070

Any ideas why it appears I am not getting the latest drivers installing?

Thanks!!

You are-the numbers for the download changes any time any file is updated, not just the driver file. So it is not surprising that the latest download number doesn't match the driver version. Go to www.shspvr.com to get the absolute latest/beta drivers.

I noticed this too, that the driver version seems older in the latest download from Hauppauge.com. I compared it with the previous files and there are about 10 files or so that were updated on 3/11/2005. I updated to the latest anyway and so far everything works. Will use it for a few days to see if they fixed anything, though I doubt it'll make any difference.
