Detailed .stv install instructions

Hi All,
Can anyone give a more detailed instruction on installing custom .stv's. I have read the other posts which say unzip to the Sage folder and "preserve the file paths". Do I remove the OriginalV2 and put the new one in it's place? Or, do I take the stv out and replace it. Thanks for any help.

Most (all?) custom STVs include installation instructions where you download them. Often, it includes unzipping the file in the SageTV directory while retaining the folder structure in the zip file. This puts teh STV in the proper location. Then, you can usually go to Detailed Setup -> Advanced & choose to load a new STV. (Note: unless you are actually using an import module, you do _NOT_ choose to import the STV!)

The original STV is not touched in any way. (At least, it shouldn't be.)
