Suddenly, 40 seconds to load recording?

I have a SageTV server and 2 clients. Suddenly, it is taking 40 seconds to load any recording, to either client. That is with server running as service OR standard SageTV.

I'm thinking network, but I can't find it.

Any clues?

I have renamed the properties files on the server and one client. No change.

Also, once the recording is loaded, it's fine.

Yup. Even changed the switch, since I had another. I was going to replace the network card on the server next.

Thanks for the quick response.

Well, still no go. I'm about ready to nuke 'n pave, but I hate not knowing what happened. But I need to get some sleep soon

I've done the following:

Defragged everything
Changed 250GB Drive
Changed Network card
Changed network cables to CAT6
Removed Promise ATA133 Card. Using built-in VIA controller now
Uninstalled Server and Clients (with Java) Using existing wiz.bin
Uninstalled Server and Clients (with Java) completely new setup.
Reinstalled DirectX 9.0C
Finally, I decided to install SP2. Figured I got nothin' to lose.

Still the same problem. Any other ideas before I blow it up?

I dont see anything stating that you tried a new SageTV installation NOT using your existing WIZ.BIN. If it is not that.. it is obviously something external to your system and reformatting is not going to fix the issue.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I did try with a new wiz.bin and still had the problem. That's why I'm sure it was outside of Sage.

But I have committed. I have nuked and now I am paving.

So I'll never know

Thanks for trying

Sam
