New Plextor PCI DivX/MPEG-4 card coming
News from Japan
http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews...24_093900.html ConvertX PVR. It encodes in MPEG-1/2 and 4 thanks to a WISTechnologies GO700SB chipset. It wil be available in July for about $250. Being this is the 2nd generation DivX hardware encoder, let's hope it doesn't have the shortcomings of the ConvertX: 6mpbs capture limit, audio sync problems, stuck video frame problems

News from Japan is really really old and rigth name is GO7007SB which Plextor have been using for some time and maybe what really talk about is the new Cypher 7108/7118 which is the 2nd generation hardware encoder but it still petty the same as the GO7007SB when it come to the video spec which one main diff and is the Cypher 7108/7118 has a hardware audio encoder unlike the GO7007SB.
Far I know of there no PCI ver. Last edited by SHS; 05-25-2005 at 10:02 PM. |
