Hauppauge IR blaster with PVR 150/250

Hello,

I have a quick question.

I am currently using a PVR 250 and PVR 150 to tune to analog cable using the built in tuner on each card. What I would like to do however is use the IR blaster that came with my PVR 150 to control my digital cable box (Scientific Atlanta 3200). From what I have read however it is not possible to use the PVR 150 IR blaster when other cards are installed as well. Is this correct?

What other options do I have? Ultimately I would like one of my PVR cards controlling my digital box and getting its signal though S-Video and the other PVR card simply getting its signal from its built in tuner.

Sort of... the IR driver can't tell the difference between a 150 & a 250, so it might end up using the 250's IR port (even if it is an MCE version & doesn't have an IR port). When that happens, it can be difficult to impossible to get it to use the 150 instead. On the other hand, you could get lucky & it uses the 150 instead. Who knows.

You could get something like the USB-UIRT, or use serial control if the converter has that option.
